State of the art
In the current state of the art, chemical strengthening is only carried out using “batch systems”. This always means an interruption of the manufacturing process. Our concepts enable integration into the continuous manufacturing process. This brings with it a variety of advantages over the current state of the art.
Container glass systems
We develop innovative concepts to industrialize chemical speed strengthening (CSS) in the container glass sector. Our goal is to make this groundbreaking technology accessible to the mass market and at the same time significantly reduce production costs. With our technology, we aim for a sustainable and cost-efficient solution.
One-Step-Solution: Forming & Strengthening
The breakthrough is not only our chemical-speed-strengthening technology itself, but its seamless integration directly into the production line. Together with Bucher Emhart Glass, we are developing the world’s first solution that combines forming and strengthening in one continuous step — with no interruption of the production flow.
This marks a true industrial paradigm shift: the traditional process chain with hot-end coating, lehr annealing, and cold-end coating is replaced by a one-step solution, in which glass is strengthened immediately while still hot in the production process. The result: lighter and significantly stronger glass, with greater efficiency and economic performance, produced directly in-line — for the first time at industrial scale.
And equally powerful as a stand-alone system— ideal for glass finishing companies that do not manufacture glass themselves.
